An average of 5.9 million adults watched England’s friendly 1-1 draw with Holland on BBC One last night, taking a 29% audience share for the broadcaster between 7pm and 9pm.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here remained the most watched programme in the 9pm to 10pm timeslot, despite losing viewers from the series’ first outing (see I’m A Celebrity… Gets Off To Strong Start). An average of just over 6.9 million adults tuned in to the show, giving ITV1 a 33% viewing share at the time.
Torchwood on BBC Two, which is initially screened on digital only station BBC Three, proved popular for the channel, gaining 2.1 million adult viewers on average during I’m A Celebrity…, a 10% audience share.
Strictly Come Dancing, on between 6.30pm and 7pm, also proved successful for the station, taking around 2.4 million adult viewers on average, a 13.6% audience share.
The soaps on ITV1 also proved popular, with Emmerdale taking 6.6 million and Coronation Street 8.2 million, a 35% and 40% share respectively for the broadcaster.
Channel 4’s best viewing figures came from Deal Or No Deal, with 3.6 million (37%), The New Paul O’Grady Show with 2.8 million (23%), and How Clean Is Your House? with 2.1 million (10%).
