EU: EASA Analyses Self Regulation

The European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA) has published its new edition of “Advertising Self-Regulation in Europe”. The text covers self-regulatory systems in the EU, the Czech and Slovak Republics, Slovenia, Switzerland and Turkey. It also includes and examines the codes of conduct introduced by the various national self-regulatory bodies; national legislation; comparative tables of the various national rules; and a summary of existing and proposed European legislation. In the text the EASA asserts that the European Commission must deal with hindrances to trade in the advertising market. Copies of the new text are available from Kasia Scoggins, EASA, 10a rue de la Pepiniere, B-1000 Brussels, Belgium; email [email protected]
