The MEP Erika Mann (D, EPP), reporting for the Economic Committee on a Commission study on the electronic communications and teleshopping industry, will this week call on the EP to adopt measures allowing electronic trade to be regulated at an international level, through the World Trade Organisation, and for the Commission to investigate whether it is feasible to tax Internet shopping.
