Evans Makes Radio Show Commitment

Chris Evans has said that he will commit himself to Virgin Radio’s breakfast show for five years if his takeover bid for the station is successful (subscribers see Evans’ Virgin Bid Confirmed). It is possible that his short-term contract with Virgin could end if Capital takes its rival over.

Virgin is still considering the £80m offer from Evans, whose backers are Apax, the venture capital group, and Paribas, the French merchant bank. Capital, however, remains confident that the original deal will go through.
