Evans Reaches The Point Of No Return To Radio 1
The BBC Radio 1 DJ, Chris Evans, failed to turn up to present the Breakfast Show yesterday. Following discussions with Evan’s agent, the BBC released the star from the final two months of his contract. This agreement means that Ginger Productions, Evans’ production company, will not face legal action. However, the early departure is likely to cost Ginger over £100,000.
Mark Radcliffe is being tipped as Chris Evans’ successor. Evans, meanwhile, has been approached by Richard Branson’s Virgin Radio and Talk Radio UK.
