Evening Standard To Launch New Section

The Evening Standard is to launch a new section on Fridays. ‘Hot Tickets’, an A4-sized listings magazine, will begin this week. It will cover all events in London and feature a seven-day TV and radio guide. The Independent also recently launched a listings section on Fridays, called 24seven (Newsline 22/04).

The launch of the new Standard section coincides with rumours that the Observer is planning to close its A4 listings magazine ‘Preview’. ‘Preview’ is only nine months old and was part of the Observer revamp at the end of last year (Newsline 04/09/95).
