Ex-Loaded Editor Plans To Float New Venture

The new publishing company set up by former editor of Loaded and GQ, James Brown, is believed to be seeking a stock market listing as it unveils its first magazine launch. I Feel Good is planning to float on the Alternative Investment Market to raise money for its publishing ventures.

Details of the company’s plans are still under wraps but a spokesperson revealed that the first offering from the group will be a film title called Hot Dog. Launching on 1 June it will be “vastly” different from other mags in the market, with “entertaining and humorous” articles and a “focus on DVD.” Its print launch will be twinned with a website.

Further details of the company plans are to be announced in the coming month, but it is believed that the group will focus on lifestyle, sports and leisure titles.

Brown resigned as editor of GQ last year after a style feature depicting Nazis as icons received numerous complaints (see GQ Editor Resigns After ‘Stylish Nazi’ Feature). After leaving the title he went to work on his football mag Leeds, Leeds, Leeds (see Newsline Brief).
