The BBC has announced that eight new, unique comedy pilots from BBC Three will be available to audiences on iPlayer.

The pilots include Caraid Lloyd’s sketch ‘The Caraid Show’ and ‘Fuzzbox’ – a puppet show featuring the voices of real young people, and build on the success of last year’s Feed My Funny comedy strand, which received over one million requests on BBC iPlayer in the first 10 days of availability.

Two of these pilots have now been commissioned as full TV series for BBC Three.

Hidden-camera show ‘Impractical Jokers’ launched on BBC Three last year has been re-commissioned for a second series, and ‘And People Just Do Nothing’ – a mockumentary set in the world of a pirate radio station – will be broadcast later this year, after becoming the most shared content on iPlayer in July 2012.

Earlier this year, the BBC announced the launch of an exclusive Peter Kay series to be released on iPlayer before being aired on live TV.

Another series of Comedy Feeds will be commissioned for iPlayer from September this year.
