Express Newspapers is to launch its own credit card, The Express Card, on September 17, offering 13.9% APR.
Two versions of the card will be available, both Visa and MasterCard. It will be a combined Daily and Sunday Express card, issued in conjunction with Save & Prosper. The Express Card will cost £12 per annum, but holders will be able to transfer any outstanding debt from their existing credit card to The Express Card at the lower interest rate at no additional cost.
There will be application cards inserted into the new Daily Express “This Week” section, which is launched on the 17 September, and into Sunday Express Section 3 the following day. The Sunday Times launched a visa card in March.
