Yesterday’s Newsline story on the FA Cup Football overnight viewing figures initially made a misleading comparison between Sky’s and ITV’s viewing figures for their respective coverage of Man Utd v Middlesborough and Port Vale v Liverpool.
The TV rating of 9 given for both matches was not comparable as the Sky figure was for audiences in satellite homes only, rather than for the whole TV audience (like the ITV rating).
