Stuart Feather, managing director of Edinburgh-based media agency Feather Brooksbank, has denied that his company is in talks with the Carat group. A report in this week’s trade press claimed that a deal, either a merger or an alliance, is close to completion. However, Feather claimed that the article is incorrect and that there is no such alliance about to take place.
Carat International is a global media communications specialist, with 74 offices in 59 countries, including Carat and Carat Manchester in the UK. A link-up with Carat would give Feather Brooksbank a route into international opportunities.
However, according to Stuart Feather nothing is currently on the cards. “I was telephoned on Tuesday night about this and it was the first I had heard,” he said. Despite this, talks between the two groups over sharing resources have been held before and a possible alliance discussed.
