Feature: UK Radio Trading Figures Comparisons

Four UK radio operators released trading figures last week, with revenues showing that conditions remain pretty tough, with no obvious, strong upturn visible at present.

Capital Radio has announced that revenues were down 2% in the year to September, whilst the six month period showed a growth of 2%. Scottish Radio Holdings posted a 2% drop over the twelve month period.

GWR also demonstrated even weaker trading, with sales down by 2% in the six months to September. Emap, meanwhile, was even weaker still, with its sales falling by 7% in the six months to September, partly due to a strong performance for the same period last year.

How these figures compare against one another and against the radio market as a whole is shown here.
