February Cinema Admissions

Cinema admissions reached a new high in February with average weekly admissions rising to 3.2 million, an increase of 32.9% on 1993. The major new films in February were Philadelphia and Schindler’s List.

This is the second time that weekly admissions have risen above the 3 million mark in the last 12 months. In August the release of Jurassic Park helped admissions reach 3.19 million.
