First Issue Review – Cult TV

This magazine claims to be for a cooler kind of couch potato, but cooler than what? Put it this way, when Cult TV arrived in the office this morning, the computer whizz-kids and web-designers were the only ones to get excited, so need I say more about this title.

Okay, I am going to try to put myself into a geek’s shoes for a few minutes.

Lady Penelope radiates from the front-cover, the years haven’t changed her, she’s so stunning she almost looks unreal! If you can bear to take your eyes away from this dolly bird to venture further into the magazine a whole feast of surprises will greet you.

The first page contains part one of a cut-up and keep card game of cult figures, wow I can’t wait to start competing. Then there is the welcome news that Captain Pugwash is to set sail again with a brand new series, shiver-me-timbers! This is followed-up with info on the new Thunderbird movie, Teletubbies and Red Dwarf. Then, just when you thought it couldn’t get better, there’s a special report on Babylon 5.

The features have all been well researched and written with a passion by cult TV addicts. They are essential reading for anyone who has ambitions to be top of the pub quiz league. But, so that you can plan your visits to the local around the Box, there is a 13 page guide to the coolest shows on TV this month. And, if you’ve still got some spare time on your hands, check-out the video, CD and book reviews.

Okay, that’s the run-down, if you’re sad enough, go out and buy it.

Of the 83 pages, 10 pages were sold for advertising.
