Five Unveils New Autumn Schedule

Channel Five Five has unveiled its autumn line-up, which is set to include a number of new architecture and property programmes.

The channel’s season highlight features Bernard Braden’s unseen interviews from the 1960s, with icons such as Cilla Black, Robert Maxwell and Sean Connery.

The three-part series made by Silver River Productions, 1968 Unseen, will also include recent interviews with some of the original stars about the 60s era.

Ben Gale, Five’s director of programmes, said: “I’m delighted we have secured 1968 Unseen, it’s a fascinating insight into one of the pivotal years of the 20th Century and still resonates today.”

He added: “It is a welcome addition to our rich autumn line-up.”

The channel’s new schedule also features Dangerous Advetures for Boys, starring Martin Kemp, Vic Reeves and Bradley Walsh.

Paul Merton will return to the channel with Paul Merton in India, following the success of his discovery show in China.

Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen has been commissioned to host the Britain’s Best Home and Garden new six-part series, where the final winner receives the National Gardens Scheme Gold Medal Award.

A number of new architecture and property programmes are set to feature heavily in the autumn season as well, as Charlie Luxton presents two new programmes – Behind Closed Doors and Best House on the Street.

Meanwhile, Ptolemy Dean will paint national treasures in The Bigger Picture and will search for Britain’s finest period homes in Picture Perfect Homes.
