Fletcher Launches Largest Ever Poll Of UK Internet Users

Fletcher Research this week launches the second wave of its Internet User Monitor, which will be the largest survey so far of UK web users. The research is to be used by the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) as part of its National Audience Survey (NAS) system.

The IAB is hoping to offer online advertisers regular and objective facts about user demographics and behaviour. As part of the NAS, the Bureau will monitor Net users’ attitudes towards e-commerce and online advertising.

Fletcher’s research covers over 100 of the UK’s highest traffic sites and the company is expecting to poll over 30,000 people in two weeks. Fletcher estimates that the participating sites account for around 40% of the UK’s total web advertising inventory.
