Roger Luard, Flextech’s group chief executive, died in hospital on Saturday 15 August, at the age of 49.
Luard had been suffering from a rare untreatable neurological disease. He is survived by his wife and two children.
He had been chief executive at Flextech since 1986, and was a big player in its transition from an oil services company to the large and successful TV programme producer that it is today.
Adam Singer, chairman of Flextech, said: “Roger was an exceptional man who brought to Flextech a heady cocktail of charm, wit and entrepreneurial thinking that helped to build this company. This we shall miss, but the real void for those who knew Roger will be the laughter, affection and above all friendship that he lavished on us all.”
