Flextech Head Launches Media Commentating Podcast

Flextech Television Logo Flextech Television’s CEO, Malcolm Wall, has released an exclusive podcast on the company’s revamped website, flextech.co.uk, positioning himself as a media commentator.

In the podcast, Wall will reveal his views on the importance of creating original content, PSB funding for Channel 4, the BBC licence fee and future broadcast modes.

The podcast will be the first in a series of Flextech senior management interviews including Jon James, director of commercial, Jonathan Webb, director of programming for Bravo, Trouble and Challenge, and Claudia Rosencrantz, director of programming for LivingTV.

The creative and interactive team at Flextech has completely refreshed the website content, which now offers trailers and promos of Flextech’s latest programming content.

The website also features sections including a virtual press office, a direct avenue for independent production houses and advertisers to explore commissioning and commercial opportunities.

Kerry Taylor, director of creative and marketing at Flextech Television, said: “The website will deliver increased functionality to all users. With regularly updated podcasts illustrating Flextech’s organisational culture, values and industry expertise from the senior management team, we are confident this website will act a major resource for all Flextech customers.”

The launch of the revamped website is part of a new corporate identity, following NTL’s merger with Telewest, the original owners of Flextech.

Recently the company launched a new on-demand broadband service, which gives viewers access to LIVINGtv and Bravo programmes online (see Flextech Launches Broadband On-Demand Service). Earlier this month, Lisa Opie, managing director of Flextech, quit after more than a decade at the company (see Opie Quits Flextech).
