The Independent Television has awarded the local delivery for Totton and Hythe to the sole bidder, Videotron Southampton and Eastleigh Ltd. The cash bid from Videotron for the Totton and Hythe franchise was £1, supplementing the percentages of qualifying revenue set by the ITC. Videotron proposes to serve 25,199 homes by the end of 1998.
The ITC has have also agreed to award the local delivery franchise for Wythall to the sole bidder, Birmingham Cable Limited.
Birmingham Cable proposes to serve 4,000 homes by the end of 1996.
