Emma Scott, managing director at Freesat, joins the expert panel line-up for MediaTel Group’s upcoming Connected Consumer event on 21 and 24 September.
Scott, who previously worked at the BBC, will appear alongside Sony’s Edd Uzzell, Decipher’s Nigel Walley, BT Vision’s Damien Read and ITV’s Steve Bignell in the Business Models and Platforms session on day two of the event.
Day one will be based at i-Burbia, where delegates will have the opportunity to see and test all the latest devices, platforms and technology, including Freesat’s new Freetime box, which was announced earlier this week, the new YouView boxes (all three versions), Apple TV, Google TV, the latest Samsung Smart TV, Virgin Media’s TiVo box, Xbox 360 and many more.
Day two will follow on Monday 24 September at Merrill Lynch, where discussion will focus on content, discovery, technology, the role of existing and new broadcasters and platforms, second screens, the CE businesses, VOD, research and data.
Scott is an excellent addition to the panel line-up, as managing director of the ITV/BBC joint venture company.
