Freeserve Extends Thomas Cook Sponsorship Deal

Freeserve has extended its deal with Thomas Cook in a move that will see travel promotions run on the website until the end of November.

The promotion, which is featured in a sponsored button on the ISP’s Travel Channel, has been available throughout the summer. The campaign will be further supported by adverts throughout the Freeserve portal linking directly to www.thomascook.com.

Freeserve’s advertising sales director, Caroline Pathy, commented: “The travel sector is one of the internet’s biggest success stories. The campaign, building on our previous work with Thomas Cook, illustrates how online campaigns can be harnessed to raise front-of-mind awareness and directly generate online sales.”

Thomas Cook will be providing users with a variety of offers to attempt to entice them into booking a holiday, including an online booking discount.

Katherine Begg, online marketing manager for Thomas Cook, added: “Targeted online advertising on quality sites is key to encouraging people to search for holidays and book holiday related products on the web.”

Earlier this month Freeserve announced that its advertising sales director, Caroline Pathy, is leaving the company in November to relocate to Geneva (see Freeserve’s Ad Sales Director Resigns After Three Years).
