Freeserve To Become Egg’s Exclusive ISP

Freeserve has secured a deal with Egg to become the online bank’s exclusive internet service provider.

The deal will see Freeserve’s range of internet access products promoted to Egg’s 2.4 million digital customers via online promotions and direct mail.

Commenting on the deal, Freeserve’s managing director of marketing, Keith Hawkins, said: “This partnership complements the strong distribution and online marketing plans we already have in place, which together promise to deliver continued growth as we enter the peak pre-Christmas and New Year selling periods.”

The agreement is the latest in a line of deals secured by Freeserve, which recently formed a partnership with online retailer Amazon to promote the site in the run up to Christmas (see Freeserve Forms Pre-Christmas Partnership With Amazon).

Last month Freeserve launched the latest phase of its multi-million pound advertising campaign to drive uptake of its flat-rate AnyTime internet access package (see Freeserve Sticks With Hippies For Latest Ad Campaign). However, rival ISP, AOL, also recently unveiled a national press and poster campaign to publicise its new “no frills” broadband package (see AOL Promotes New Broadband Package With National Campaign).
