Further Newspaper Price Rises
Mirror Group Newspapers is the latest in the newspaper groups to announce price rises in the face of rising paper costs. Its two titles the Sunday Mirror and the People both rise by 5p to 55p from this Sunday, 9th July. Neither title took part in the price war.
News International, Associated Newspapers and the Telegraph have all announced increases this week; Express Newspapers however, whose titles have suffered most during the price war in terms of circulation refused to comment this morning on any plans they might have for cover price increases.
