Future Appoints Sutcliffe To Head Up London Titles

Future Publishing has promoted Andy Sutcliffe to the position of publishing director of its London titles, which include Total Film, Bang and Metal Hammer.

Sutcliffe, who was previously group publisher at Future, will take responsibility for building Future’s London portfolio. He will take overall responsibility for all London titles and work closely with Jacquie Duckworth, who was recently appointed ad sales director (see Future Publishing Appoints New Ad Director).

Commenting on Sutcliffe’s appointment, Greg Ingham, chief executive of the Future Network, said: “I am delighted that Andy has accepted this senior post, which reflects the importance of our London operations.”

He continued: “Andy has the benefit of many years of publishing and management experience, gained both in Future and elsewhere; in particular his editorial expertise is exceptional. Andy will play a key part in driving forward our successful London-based portfolio.”

Sutcliffe has held a number of senior editorial and publishing roles since joining Future three years ago. Prior to this, he was managing director of Cabal Communications and held various senior editorial posts at IPC Media.

Future Network recently acquired the US’ second best-selling guitar magazine, Guitar One, from Cherry Lane Magazines for £1.5 million in cash (see Future Buys Second US Guitar Magazine Group).
