Future Digital Revamps Online Presence

Future Publishing’s recently rebranded Digital portfolio is relaunching its online presence in an attempt to increase its appeal to high-profile advertisers.

Under the umbrella of the relaunched MaxPC network, Future Digital’s websites, which include maxpc.co.uk, pcplus.co.uk, pcanswers.co.uk, netmag.co.uk and iwks.com, have been redesigned to appeal to a larger online and offline audience.

All of the sites have been given improved download speeds and have undergone a number of technical changes designed to attract new advertisers. The amount of available advertising space has been increased across the portfolio and industry-standard sized ad formats have been implemented across the board.

Future Digital’s publishing director, John Wier, said: “Future Digital has always had a significant online presence, boasting a 12% year on year increase in advertising and a number of high-profile clients including Hewlett-Packard, IBM, BT and Microsoft. In order to maintain and develop this growth and to drive awareness on and offline, we are implementing this relaunch project.”

The redesigned Digital portfolio will also provide support in the move towards online magazine publishing and Future has today announced the launch of the UK’s first digital magazine, in the form of Microsoft Windows XP: The Official Magazine.

The title, which has been launched in association with Zinio, will offer users content with the same look and feel as Future’s offline publications, but will allow greater levels of interactivity.

Wier added: “We believe that this relaunch will give our site visitors a better taste of Future Digital’s products and provide our offline readership and advertisers with extended content tied to our magazine brands.”

Earlier this year Future Publishing launched a new monthly title called Digital Camera Magazine. The magazine is aimed at first or second digital camera owners and claims to cover every aspect of digital photography (see Future Rebrands Computer Titles And Details New Launch).
