Future Extends PC Answers Brand With Special Supplement

Future Publishing’s monthly computer title PC Answers is undergoing a wholesale redesign that will see the launch of a special supplement in an attempt to broaden its appeal.

The initiative will see the magazine be given a new look that will include the launch of a PC Upgrade segment, a new 68-page magazine providing ‘build it yourself’ hardware projects and ideas.

The special PC Upgrade segment shows readers how to upgrade their home computer systems and how they can make digital hardware themselves. It will also include tips, projects and help for users.

Commenting on the new supplement, Kelley Corten publisher of PC Answers, said: “PC Answers’ unique legacy as the title for people who take a DIY approach to computing means that PC Upgrade is an ideal extension to the core magazine.”

She continued: “With two magazines for the price of one, as well as a covermounted CD with either a free gift or a second covermounted CD, the PC Answers package will offer newsstand value that’s hard to beat.”

The new look PC Answers will be supported by promotional activity at point of sale and by added value gifts covermounted with the magazine. The revamped title goes on sale tomorrow with a coverprice of £4.99.

Future Publishing’s flagship technology title, T3, recently secured a deal with The Independent to produce a four part series of mini-magazines for the paper in the run up to Christmas (see Future To Produce Mini Magazines For The Independent).
