Future Mag Aims For World Domination

Future Mag Aims For World Domination

Future Publishing’s UK Internet title .Net has put in place measures which it hopes will ensure that the magazine becomes the strongest computing magazine brand in Europe.

Last week Future held its first .net licensee conference in London with delegates attending from Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Italy. Together the licencees committed themselves to building a cohesive European brand identity for the magazine and, as a first step, Duncan Ferguson was appointed as international ad sales manager responsible for implementing a European rate card for the title and all other worldwide licences.

Ferguson, based in Future’s Bath offices, will be working to grow the international advertising base across Europe and the USA, selling the seven licensed issues of .net as a European package.

Also last week the magazine picked up two Silver IPD International Press Awards for Best International Magazine Brand and for Best Specialist Magazine at a ceremony held at the Dorchester Hotel.
