Future Publishing Appoints New Ad Director

Future Publishing has appointed Jacquie Duckworth as advertising director for its London-based magazines, following the creation of separate directorial roles for its London and Bath offices.

Duckworth previously worked as an advertising director at Emap Esprit and has also held a succession of senior advertising roles at IPC Media, John Brown Citrus Publishing, Cube3 Publishing, Cedar and Just Communications.

In her new position, Duckworth will oversee the development of Future’s London-based magazines, which include Total Film, T3, Metal Hammer and the new music title, Bang. She will also be responsible for building agency advertising sales for Future’s entire portfolio.

Commenting on the appointment, Colin Morrison, managing director of Future UK, said: “I’m delighted to have recruited Jacquie for this vital new post. Jacquie will play a pivotal role in the strengthening of our London-based titles and in the development of our relationships with media buyers right across the portfolio.”

Future Publishing recently launched a new online subscription service with John Lewis, which will allow consumers to subscribe to titles via the internet (see Future Secures Distribution Deal With John Lewis).
