Future Publishing Secures Wilkinson Sword For T3 Deal

Future Publishing has secured Wilkinson Sword to promote the launch of its new four blade razor on technology website T3.co.uk.

The campaign will see Wilkinson completely take over the website with sponsorship bars, banner ads and logos. The two-week campaign will also include advertorials, a high profile competition, a reader poll and an opt-in email newsletter.

Commenting on the initiative, Mark Phillips, online manager for T3, said: “This site takeover is an effective solution that is capable of reaching the growing number of T3 unique users. Such exclusive partnerships allow different brands to be associated with each other while reaching a key target audience, for example in this case the T3 man.”

Richard Nall, marketing director at Wilkinson Sword, added: “We have created a high profile marketing campaign for Quattro that will make consumers sit up and take notice of our key product messaging. Working with T3.co.uk represents a perfect partnership for us as it allows us to reach consumers who exactly fit our core audience profile in an innovative and direct manner.”

Future Network recently increased its influence in the videogames magazine market by reaching a deal to acquire Computec Media UK, which publishes the unofficial Playstation magazine, PSW and Xbox World.

Greg Ingham, Future Network’s chief executive, said: “Computec has carved out a distinctive and profitable niche within the UK games segment. Both main titles have attractive long term prospects. We are pleased to add these titles to our portfolio of leading games titles” (see Future Expands Games Magazine Portfolio With Acquisition).
