Future Publishing has announced an October launch for a monthly rugby magazine First XV. The magazine will be edited by Stuart Barnes, ex England international flyhalf, current rugby correspondent for the Daily Telegraph and presenter of Sky’s Rugby Union coverage.
News of XV’s launch comes at a time when rugby popularity is at a peak with the broadcasting of the World Cup. The magazine will include club reports, profiles, interviews and features. “First XV aims to create an organised forum of clubs and become a mouthpiece for the rugby loving public.”
The magazine will have a coverprice of £3.00, 100 pages with an emphasis on sharp and creative colour photography. Future Publishing are currently in the process of recruiting for a Managing Editor Writer and Art Editor as well as for advertising personnel.
