Future To Produce Mini Magazines For The Independent

Future Publishing’s flagship technology title, T3, has secured a deal with The Independent to produce a four part series of mini-magazines for the paper in the run up to Christmas.

The deal will see the four mini versions of the magazine, which focuses on designer home entertainment equipment, mobile technology and life-enhancing gadgets, appear in various weekend supplements of The Independent throughout November.

The series of special 32-page brand extensions carries the title 201 Gadgets You Should Own. Each instalment offers a themed showcase of 50 must have gizmos, as well as a mix of features, competitions and tutorials.

The initiative will be supported on the strap above The Independent logo, as well as via four half-page ads in each of the week’s preceding supplements.

Commenting on the deal, Simon Maxwell, publisher of T3 magazine, said: “Its great to get copies of the magazine into the hands of our target market and I am convinced it will not only raise our profile but also boost the sales of T3.”

Paul Little, head of circulation for The Independent and Independent On Sunday, added: “The supplements will further boost sales of the paper at what, with the launch of the new compact size, is already an exciting time for The Independent.”

Future Publishing recently secured Wilkinson Sword to promote the launch of its new four blade razor on technology website T3.co.uk. The campaign will see Wilkinson completely take over the website with sponsorship bars, banner ads and logos (see Future Publishing Secures Wilkinson Sword For T3 Deal).
