Galaxy Network Launches In London

Chrysalis Radio’s Galaxy Network, the dance music radio brand, is to launch in London following a deal with Ministry of Sound Radio.
From October Galaxy Network programming will feature on Ministry of Sound Radio which is expected to broadcast to around 250,000 people throughout Central London on the 87.7FM frequency.
Ministry of Sound Radio will broadcast throughout October while an application for a permanent licence is considered (see Ministry Launches On FM).
Chrysalis Radio’s programme director, Jim Hicks, said: “We’re delighted to have this opportunity to bring Galaxy to London. Ministry Of Sound Radio has been attracting a lot of attention and is the perfect platform from which to introduce Galaxy to the capital.”
The Galaxy brand launched in South Wales and the West in October 1995. The analogue network now comprises five stations: Galaxy 101 (South Wales and the West), Galaxy 102.2 (Birmingham), Galaxy 105 (Yorkshire), Galaxy 105-106 (North East).
