Gardening Titles Grow

A glossy-gardening bi-monthly magazine is to launch later this month simultaneously in Britain and America.

The English Garden is produced by Romsey Publishing and is targeting ABC1 women over 35. Vanessa Berridge, former editor of Country Homes and Interiors, is editor of the title. It will focus on pictures of beautiful gardens and lovely places to visit; the practical gardening advice section will make-up only 20% of the package. The English Garden offers readers the chance to admire a dozen gorgeous gardens for just £2.50.

The English Garden is hoping for a 30 to 40,000 circulation in the UK, with a similar readership across the Atlantic. It goes on sale on February 21 with a £2.50 cover-price.
