General Cable Performs Well For Wassall

General Cable Performs Well For Wassall

General Cable saw operating profits rise to £31.6m in 1995 after sales rose by 18% to £671.7m, helping its new owner Wassall achieve profits of £55.1m.

The industrial group acquired General Cable in 1994 and the cable provider’s performance has far outstripped initial expectations. This has been achieved primarily through a restructuring and reorganisation of General Cable, which has networks in the Midlands and is connected to over 56,000 homes.
