The cult television show TFI Friday, hosted by Chris Evans on Channel 4, has launched its own website on the internet (see Newsline). Created by Ginger Online, the site recreates the atmosphere of the show, with interviews and competitions, and the company, owned by Chris Evans, hopes to use the site to sell music, videos and merchandise online eventually and can be found on tfifriday.com.
John Ousby, director of Ginger Online, commented: “This site will allow viewers to take part in the TFI experience all week long, from anywhere in the world. Visitors to the site can enjoy all things ginger all day long. We’ll also be using the site as a research tool, the next ugly bloke or fat lookalike may just surf his way onto the show.”
