GLWT And YTTTV International Sales House To Merge

It has been annouced that the international sales houses of Granada-LWT and Yorkshire-Tyne Tees Television are to merge to create the largest single distribution company in ITV. Programmes made by these companies include Prime Suspect, A Touch of Frost, Cracker, Heartbeat, First Tuesday and Agatha Christie’s Poirot.

Bruce Gyngell, Group Managing Director of YTTTV Holdings, will become the first Chairman of the company. Nadine Nohr, who is currently Director of Sales at GLWT will become Director of Sales for the new organisation.

Charles Allen, Chief Executive of GLWT, said “Programmes are key to the future success of all four companies and programme distribution is vital to that success. We shall also be looking for further integration in licensing and merchandising to maximise the marketing impact of such a diverse and exciting catalogue”.
