Good Housekeeping Show May Go To ITV
Good Housekeeping magazine is drawing up plans to take its TV spin-off programme, the Good Housekeeping Show, to ITV next year.
The programme currently broadcasts on the Granada Breeze cable and satellite channel. However, since the ITC removed the masthead programming restrictions from terrestrial television, magazine-based programmes can now be shown on the five terrestrial channels (see ITC Extends Masthead Programming To Terrestrial).
Good Housekeeping is published by the National Magazine Company which is looking for a potential sponsor for the programme. The title’s publishing director, Simon Kippin, is currently in discussion with Granada about moving the programme to ITV some time next year. No plans have been finalised at this stage.
If the production goes ahead, advertisers could be offered cross-media deals securing a place in both the print magazine and the TV show.
