Live! TV has increased its viewing share of cable viewers by 33% over the last year, according to official figures by BARB. The average weekly reach of the channel has risen 13% over the year to 34.6%, making Live! TV the fourth most widely watched cable channel in cable TV homes.
The number of homes connected to cable has risen by nearly a quarter of its original size over the last year, creating increases in viewing figures across the board.
Deputy managing director of Live! TV, Nick Ferrari, commented: “This is a triumph for innovative, fun programming over tired old re-runs and pathetic domestic attempts to ape US talk shows. It’s just the beginning and we’re looking to even better numbers with every month.”
Live! TV recently closed local versions of its service in Liverpool and Newcastle (see Newsline), and relaunched the channel at the beginning of September (see Newsline).
