Goodnight Of Viewing For ITV’s Stars In Their Eyes

The Stars In Their Eyes Grand Final, shown on Saturday 25th May, was watched by over 11.5 million people. The variety show, which was won by a Marti Pellow lookalike, attracted an audience of 11.58 million and a consolidated share of the audience of 54%; this made it the most watched programme on the Saturday night with 170,000 more viewers than the National Lottery Live.

Programmes doing well in this week’s top thirty programmes list include; the European Champions Cup final which was watched by 8.21 million people, Bramwell which had 10.15 million viewers, Crimewatch UK which attracted an audience of 9.38 million viewers and the repeat showing of the comedy film 3 Men and a Little Lady was watched by 8.74 million people.

Total television viewing for the week ending 26th May 1996 has risen by 2.75% in comparison to the same week last year. In Astra Panel homes viewing for all channels has also risen by 6.2% when compared to the same week last year.
