Google is set to re-write its privacy settings – merging user data across all of its products.

The search giant announced its new privacy policy in a blog post this week. Google will now be able to track users’ activity on all of its products and target ads, search results and recommendations.

Google users will have to accept the changes – there is no opt-out. The revised guidelines will be live on 1 March.
