Google Secures Pan-European Partnership With Kelkoo

Google has secured a wide-ranging deal to make its AdSense website monetisation programme available on the search and content pages of Kelkoo’s portfolio of properties across Europe.

The agreement will see Google AdWords appear on the online retailer’s websites in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Denmark, Norway, Netherlands, Spain and Sweden. When a user searches on Kelkoo or browses the category pages, a range of performance-based ads will automatically appear enabling them to find what they are looking for.

The partnership extends the reach for Google’s 150,000 worldwide advertisers and offers them exposure to Kelkoo’s 27 million European users. It also provides Kelkoo with an opportunity to generate additional revenue from its web pages.

Omid Kordestani, Google’s senior vice president of worldwide sales, said: “Google continues to add quality pan-European properties to the AdSense network. This partnership with Kelkoo gives our advertisers increased reach across Europe, enabling them to reach a valuable audience of consumers right at the moment they are researching products to purchase.”

Jean-Fabrice Mathieu, vice president of marketing and business development at Kelkoo, added: “Google’s AdSense advertising programmes provide Kelkoo with additional revenue opportunities from our more than 100 million search and content pages. Google AdSense also enables us to offer our visitors an additional source of useful, comprehensive and relevant information.”

Last year Google secured a multi-year agreement to provide search technology and sponsored links to Amazon.com. The deal allows Amazon users to access Google’s search and sponsored links service via the online retailer’s website.
