Google Secures Seven-Figure Ad Deal With Lloyds TSB

Google has secured a seven-figure advertising deal with Lloyds TSB to promote the bank’s insurance services on its search-results pages.

The deal, which was negotiated by Zenith, will see ads for Lloyds TSB Insurance and its Screentrade brand appear on more than 1,000 insurance-related key-word search terms on the Google website.

The campaign is designed to drive traffic to the Lloyd’s TSB website, www.insurance.co.uk and increase online sales of its insurance brand.

Commenting on the deal, Mike Mitchell, distribution director at Lloyds TSB Insurance, said: “Google’s advertising program drives highly targeted traffic to our website and increases customer acquisition – all for a very high return on investment.”

Kate Burns, head of UK advertising sales at Google, added: “Our users can now discover related insurance products, services, and suppliers from a trusted household brand. Lloyds TSB Insurance will be exposed to more than 10 million potential customers over the coming year.”
