GQ Active Becomes Quarterly Alongside GQ

GQ Active Becomes Quarterly Alongside GQ

Condé Nast is to take the GQ spin-off title, GQ Active, back alongside its parent title and reduce its frequency to four times a year. The health, fitness and lifestyle magazine, currently monthly, will be packaged together with GQ in February, April, July and November next year.

The title is currently circulating at around 65,000 copies and launched with an intial print run of 120,000, with an intended settle-down of 70,000. By ‘bundling’ it with GQ, however, Condé Nast claims that its circulation will be doubled. The pagination is also to be increased.

The new format GQ Active also sees a new editor, Simon Tiffin, who moves up from deputy editor to fill the role of Simon Mills who has become freelance; Mills will continue to work for the magazine in a contributory role. Jill Dorward becomes advertisement director.
