Grampian Television Results
Grampian Television has announced results for the six months ended 31 August 1994. Pre-tax profits were up by 16.6% to £1.805m, compared to £1.548m the year before.
Chairman Calum MacLeod commented that, “A 5% increase in advertising revenue and a continued reduction in costs helped us to deliver another set of excellent half year results.” He warned that the establishment of the new radio station Scot FM will affect this year’s figures, with no profit coming in until next year.
He also referred to the ITV airtime sales market; since the takeovers Grampian has moved to TSMS, but despite good long term prospects, he said, the current market is less buoyant than the same period last year.
