Granada TV is apparently in the process of planning a Liverpool or Manchester-based cable channel.
The service could be launched by early next year and would be developed in conjunction with local media such as newspapers or radio stations. Granada would then provide regional programming for the service. The venture would be separate from Granada’s other non-terrestrial concern GSkyB.
