Granada’s interim results for the 52 weeks ended September 28th showed that profit before tax had risen by 37% to £480 million. Turnover also increased, up 60% from £2.381 billion last year to 3.816 billion for 1996.
The Media arm of Granada, thanks to the performances of sales house Laser and ITV company LWT, saw profits increase by 17% to £163 million. Combined advertising revenues for Granada and LWT grew to £358 million.
