Granada Responds Defiantly

Granada has responded to LWT’s defence document released yesterday in defiant mood. LWT’s document predicted pre-tax profits of £43.8m for 1993, better than expected and leaving Granada to increase their offer.

However Granada described the LWT document as “unconvincing…fails to rebut the value and logic of Granada’s offer”. LWT’s profit estimate is “within the range expected”.

Gerry Robinson, Chief Executive of Granada said that “LWT has acknowledged the need for scale, but its own strategy for achieving it has failed.”
