Granada Secures Gala Bingo To Sponsor New ITV Quiz
Granada Enterprises has secured Gala Bingo to sponsor ITV’s new entertainment quiz show, I’m The Answer, in a six figure sponsorship package.
The deal, which was negotiated by the sponsorship division at Unique Communications and Martin Lowde at Granada Enterprises, will see Gala Bingo take advantage of the break bumpers around the show and integrate the game into their clubs across the country.
I’m The Answer has no conventional contestants and will instead rely on the audience participating to win large cash prizes. The daytime show will be screened on ITV1 next month and will be presented by Dale Winton.
Commenting on the deal, Sue Wills, head of sponsorship at Unique, said: “We are delighted that Gala will be the programme sponsor. The synergy between the series and Gala Bingo was obvious, and we are keen to build this activity into a winning formula for all parties.”
Michael Leggo, director of programmes at Unique, added: “This is a major commission for us and we are delighted that ITV saw the great appeal the format has for family entertainment.”
Granada Enterprises recently secured Britvic’s J2O adult fruit juice drink as the first ever sponsor of The Frank Skinner Show, in a deal estimated to be worth around £1.5 million (see Granada Gets Fruity With J2O Frank Skinner Sponsorship).
