WPP is forecast to bring in revenue of £1.707 billion in the year to December 1997, up from £1.691bn the previous year. The report from Merrill Lynch also suggests that there will be further growth in total revenues to £1.799bn and £1.883bn in 1998 and 1999 respectively.
Pre-tax profits are predicted to grow to £175.6m in 1997, £210.2m in 1998 and £248.7m in 1999. Merrill Lynch is recommending WPP shares as “Buy”.
