Guardian Launches New Ad Campaign

The Guardian is launching a new heavy-weight poster campaign for G2, its Monday to Friday second section, at the end of March. The campaign will run for two weeks on 96-sheet posters nationwide.

There are eight different executions featuring cartoons of popular icons to depict the mix of features in G2 – from fashion to film, from sport to finance, from TV to travel. Stephen Palmer, Head of Marketing said: “Everyday, G2 gives readers a topical and surprising mix of features both provocative and entertaining. It is the Guardian’s daily magazine and the new campaign will reflect this in a refreshing and powerful way.”

The poster campaign will be followed by national cinema advertising.

News of the Guardian campaign for its second section comes in the same week that the Independent has revamped its weekday tabloid second section; whilst the content remains the same, the section has been redesigned to give a cleaner look, and is now called Monday, Tuesday, etc.
